Property Details

King Family Preserve

A heavily wooded wetland, this beautiful 27-acre tract is a remnant of the large band of mid-city wetlands that once existed before heavy development occurred. This property is frequently admired by local citizens driving along Balboa Avenue. It is located north of 15th Street, between Balboa and Florida Avenues.

Stay Up-to-Date:

There’s been a lot of work going on at King. This year, we’ve been tackling the invasive water hyacinth in the ditches with the help of the Florida GulfCorps. There’s also been an addition of two wood duck nesting boxes, the removal of various other unwanted invasives such as Chinese tallow and red sesbania, and a number of volunteer trash pick-ups.
