Doreen Miley Holder Preserve
12 and 1/2 acres of timber and a seepage stream known as Bear Creek became a preserve when Doreen Miley Holder was honored by her husband and sister with a donation of this family land. After her death in 1986, Mrs. Holder’s ashes were scattered on the property. It is located off Highway 83A near Freeport in Walton County.
